Tantum ergo Sacramentum
Instrumentation: ATB men's choir Tantum ergo Sacramentum, also written for the Anglican Maundy Thursday service, directly follows the plain chant Pange Lingua, and segues seamlessly out of it. A two-minute piece rich in variance, it begins tenderly with a line of chant moving into closely voiced chordal movement, extends into animated counterpoint, then returns to an exquisite chordal texture for the ending.
