Xingu
Instrumentation: solo cello, video Xingu I shot the video in July, 2011, on the Xingu River in the Brazilian Amazon. I composed this music as a response, an expression through my art, to the disastrous Belo Monte Dam, and to honor two extraordinary women defending the Xingu River and her people: Sheyla Yakarepi Juruna and Antonia Melo.
